Design a meal competition

This competition is now closed - thank you to everyone who took the time to design a meal for a Team GB or ParalympicsGB athlete!

To celebrate the countdown to Paris 2024, Aldi, Team GB and ParalympicsGB challenged young people aged 5–14 to get creative and design a healthy, balanced and tasty meal to fuel an Aldi Athlete Ambassador at Paris 2024. Our panel of judges are working through the thousands of entries to decide who will receive £1,000 for their school and a family trip to see Team GB in action and the Paris 2024 Olympic Games this summer!

Key learnings

  • Explore foods that support good health and the benefits of a balanced diet.
  • Understand how to make a balanced meal that caters to different needs and tastes.
  • Practice ways to generate and describe creative ideas and incorporate feedback to create an entry.

  • The judging panel are looking for entries that are clearly presented, healthy and balanced, well suited to your chosen athlete and tasty and creative!
  • The competition is now closed! The judging process is now in progress and we will be in touch with the winning designers later in the summer term.
