Check your emails!

Yes, it seems obvious, but a reminder to all to check your emails carefully.

I received a phone call from a marketing company wondering why I'd not replied to their email. I'd not replied as I'd not seen it. You know what it's like when you get loads of email, you scan them but don't really read them. Turns out I'd won a weekend away at Taplow House courtesy of Hampshire Life. Fabulous!

Based on that I wondered if I'd missed anything else so did a search for 'winner' and 'congratulations', not really expecting a result. But I was wrong! Back in May I'd missed an email telling me I'd won a week in Corfu. I'm in the process of finalising the booking now.

So, be careful, it's all too easy to miss a winning email, and you may live to regret it.

Good advice Deborah.
I do the same monthly with the word search, and stopped deleting "old" emails automatically for the same reason. Just do a more careful clearout roughly quarterly.
