Unsubscribing from Emails

I'm a Comp Newbie, so please forgive my asking... Is it safe to unsubscribe from marketing emails following entering a comp? Will you still get contacted if you win, or have you unsubscribed from winning?

Googling this gives "if you know that a sender is trustworthy it's safe to unsubscribe." I expect if you win they should contact you however I guess there is some doubt.

Thanks for that. I think I'll only unsubscribe from the irritating ones - like the one that keeps asking what energy provider I use.

In theory you shouldn't need to sign up for emails to be in with a chance of winning. All entries should be treated in the same manner. I never have and I've had some great wins.
