Replying to a new topic

I've just had a right job trying to reply to a new topic on the forum. I kept getting error messages. Is it me or a technical fault?

Thanks for checking Deborah. I did have trouble signing in too over the weekend when using my phone. It worked fine on the tablet so maybe it was just my mobile playing up.

i've emailed Harriet about this.

\xF0\x9F\x98\x8C is a emoticon from the utf8mb4 character set, the database as it is doesn't support this.
I am re writing the forum and once done it will support emoticons.

As soon as it's reay I'll redirect the forum to the new code.
