We'd love to hear your theories regarding the clues to our treasure hunt.

Obviously you might want to keep things to yourself, but if you wish to discuss anything or give hints and tips please post in this thread.

Shanners. It looks like the Treasure Hunt will be going on for a long long time - the closing date is 31 Dec 2049.

There is enough on the treasure hunt to now find the token/place, I will probably make up one more clue to try and help it along.

There are also going to be some more smaller hunts soon.

ukinet - please tell, do the three clues given so far all relate to the same treasure hunt? They appear so 'unrelated'.

Thank you.

Thanks for the reply. Upwards and onwards . . .

And you're quite right, it's not!

Please tell me (if you can without giving the game away) how precise we have to be. Are we looking for the name of a town/village or a specific landmark or something as precise as a map grid reference?

After clue 2 I was quite hopeful. Clue 3 has torn up those hopes and sent me right back to the start. If this were a game of Monopoly my little dog would be in jail with £12 in the bank and the opponent would have hotels on Park Lane & Mayfair. confused smiley

Hi ukinet

Any comments on my last post? One of your comments mentioned finding a 'token'. Could you please explain what you mean by this? A supermarket trolley token perhaps? A token of love? And, how do we submit our answer?

Thanks in advance.

OK,
I don't want to post too much info, as well it's a hunt but I guess it should be made clear what you're looking for.

The first hunt is a physical token, a poker chip to be exact, it's hidden somewhere that if you work out the clues you could just reach out and take, it has a code written on it.

You could also make a claim if you knew exactly where it was without visiting the location, but we would want details for example 'under the bridge on the river dawn in tghe village of Little Owl' (made up names, it isn't there really).

Once I can I will be doing some smaller hunts that will have the same or similar token with a code, as they are smaller the clues will be easier and the claim will be less strict, maybe just a village or place name.

This first clues are pretty hard, although once explained it might not appear so.

Hmmmm, very confusing clues. Went to the church hoping to find inspiration but failed, still can't decide on a location for the treasure - seem to be 2 different counties involved confused smiley

Are the numbers on the first clue relevant? I'm supposing they are.....but can't work out how they are, especially the very faint one in the middle.

Yes the number are very important, so is the image.
I'll do some sort of blatant clue regarding this, although you should be able to get it without that image, but then I know where it is so it's obvious to me smiling smiley

Hi ukinet. In the absence of any additional clues in the last six months, the 'blatant clue' promised in your post above (September 4) would be very welcome. Or has the Treasure Hunt been won and no one thought to tell us?confused smiley

I really think, after 5 years of nobody being able to solve the treasure hunt, another clue is needed.

We need another clue now please, otherwise all interest will be lost and 2049 irrelevant. Thank you.
