I too have been a member for many years and have only won about 4 things over the years. I find the CC comps hard to win especially the "Where in the World". I have done all the daily comps religiously and have had my name out a couple of times but never won yet seen the same names winning! Am I doing them at the wrong time of day??

It definitely feels frustrating when you enter competitions for years and never see your name come up. Have you noticed if there’s a better time of day to enter, or if certain types of comps have higher win rates? Some sites might have algorithms that favor early entries, while others could be completely random.

Never won a thing. I got 4 numbers on the lottery once (£82!) and won a pen in a school raffle in the early 1980s but I subscribed to Competitor's Companion when it was a paper mag (only once) and have been around here for many years.
I don't do it often, but occasionally when I have a quiet day at work, I will enter 10 or 20 competitions. I assume they weed people out because I've never won a damn thing.
You hear of people who have won the lottery multiple times, due to random chance. I should be due a few by now!

Ah the Competitor's Companion paper magazine. I used to subscribe to that too. I think it was in the 1990s. It was quite a challenge going round the supermarket looking for the products with the entry forms on that CC had told you about. The competitions were nearly always slogan competitions and I invested in rhyming books etc to help. I remember posting off my entries in a stamped envelope - seems so archaic now. I aimed for one competition a day. I won loads of small prizes but the best of all was a pair of gold/diamond earrings from a competition run by Vienetta Ice Cream. They were valued at £1500 retail. They were too heavy to actually wear! When I joined this site about 10 years ago I won £1000 in the first month and I thought I was going to be able to become a professional comper. That proved to be beginner's luck though. I did win a holiday to Derby Fest and a holiday to Butlins but apart from that, only small prizes. Eventually, the prizes dried up completely and I gave CC a long break. I came back to this site a year ago and since then, I haven't won a thing from the commercial competitions. Apparently there's just too many people doing them. I do enjoy 'Our' competitions though and take part every day.

Oh yes, The Magazine! There were others too that I can't remember the name of.
I used to love the postal entry competitions and won all sorts including a stay at Claridges, a limited edition Beatles watch, a video camera (When you needed strong arms to hold them!) loads of little prizes. But now, like you say, there are just too many people entering to be in with much of a chance of winning
Saying that, my best ever win was a postal entry on one of the TV competitions - £9,000 cash.
