Re: The Ladder - 10 years ago
At the moment, there are a possible 2792 points available. Thats figure will change daily, and we're watching to see if anyone manages to cheat it. The available points will change daily though and obviously go higher over time as more comps are added. My thoughts about running this as some sort of competition should be fun, but I'm not sure of the details yet. Good luck.by ukinet - General Competition Chat

Re: "Competitions closing in the next two days." - 10 years ago
My pleasure, I made a change to the ignore/log button too, hope that fixes an issue.by ukinet - Suggestions
Re: Marking as not interested - 10 years ago
I'll take a look at this. It's essentially the same thing whether you ignore or mark as entered except for the flag we use in the database, but I'll have a look see if I can see an issue.by ukinet - General Competition Chat
Re: Euromillions - 11 years ago
Hi mancity79, On the Euromillions competition page it says the following: 'If we do not win the jackpot with our tickets any lower-value prize of £5,000 or more will be shared between the members.’ So the answer to the question is that a minor prize is one under £5,000 and so it does not get shared between the members but goes towards the ongoing cost of purchasing the lotto tickets.by ukinet - UK Forum
Re: Hello from a new member - 11 years ago
Welcome Farry. The auto enter function is where we will enter a competition for you, it's used rarely though, mostly on our own competitions.by ukinet - General Competition Chat

Re: CATEGORISING THE PRIZES - 12 years ago
Hi Peter, I see what you mean. My thoughts are that if we do something like that site then the sections might become a little too diluted, or the section section could be a bit too crowded. That being said I could think about some sort of sub section in the form of tags, for instance a competition for an ipad would have tags along the lines of 'electronics', 'apple',by ukinet - Suggestions
Re: CATEGORISING THE PRIZES - 12 years ago
Hi Pete, Could you explain what you mean in a bit more detail, I'm not sure what you're saying. Do you have an example? Thanks.by ukinet - Suggestions

I would think so or they would be a pretty bad competiton organiser.by ukinet - General Competition Chat
Re: UK entrant into other countries comps - 12 years ago
If you're in the UK then just stick to the UK pages, if a competition in another country is available to people from the UK then you'll see it.by ukinet - General Competition Chat
Re: Added recently - 12 years ago
Good idea. So far if you know how to use RSS feeds then you could use that, otherwise I'll work on it right now. the competitions are updated every day as far as I know.by ukinet - Suggestions
Re: Entered/ignored competitions mark off facility not working - 12 years ago
Hi, The complog system is working fine. All I will say is that it is handled server side in conjunction with your account, so as long as your browser is functioning correctly then it will work. The fact that you say it remembers the ignored/entered comps while you're using the site suggests that your browser is working ok. I'm a little confused as to the message you're geby ukinet - UK Forum

Re: Query on winning a holiday - 12 years ago
This would be a question for the organisers, Competitors Companion is a tool to help you find competitions and direct you to where to enter.by ukinet - UK Forum

You'll then see that > your account is upgraded. This is correct, so long as the payment goes through it's instant, just log out then back in. If anyone upgrades and it doesn't work then contact us aby ukinet - UK Forum
Re: Entering on the office computer - 12 years ago
It would be pretty futile for organisers to eliminate entries with the same IP address in my opinion. These days it's quite possible for thousands of users to appear behind the same IP without thier knowledge and anyone programming the systems to capture end user information should know this, using cookies and common sense is enough I feel.by ukinet - UK Forum

Re: Site changes and the future. - 12 years ago
Hi, This is certainly possible but I wonder why you would want to do it? If you accidentaly set one as ignored or entered when you havent actually entered it, could you not just enter it before moving on? I just dont want to add more and more links to the list and make it more busy than it needs to be.by ukinet - General Competition Chat
Re: Losing place in Listings - 12 years ago
I finally found a function to do this and its in place now.by ukinet - Suggestions
Re: Site changes and the future. - 13 years ago
Hi, I will be adding a strkie through the comps you have entered on the site home page soon. You want some sort of button or link to click on each section so you can set the strike through without going into the competition details?by ukinet - General Competition Chat
Site changes and the future. - 13 years ago
You may have noticed the new site, it was changed for various reasons, the main reason was because the old site was written a very long time ago and any changes were organically added to it making maintenance and changes a very hard job. This time it's written in a very modular way that allows us to make changes and add features with relative ease. That being said what can you expect?by ukinet - General Competition Chat
Suggest stuff, it may just happen. - 13 years ago
If there is something you'd like adding to the site, or something you want changing please post a new topic in this forum, then other people can comment, if it's a good idea and possible it will be done.by ukinet - Suggestions
Font sizes - 13 years ago
I had a couple of emails saying the sites font size seemed smaller, it was set to the same as the old site so maybe the new layout made it look that way, anyhow if you visit your CC profile by clicking the link in the top right once logged in you can now set a different font size for most of the site, it doesn't work on the forum yet, maybe I'll get around to that.by ukinet - Suggestions
