Re: Daily Quiz 13th December - 7 years ago
Thanks Deborah. I've been lucky enough to win April and May's quizzes. However, I'm still waiting for April's (and now May's) prizes. I'm sure they'll arrive eventually. I renewed my subs for 3 years in April for £20 so will have got my subs back already - one of the reasons I keep plugging away. Happy and lucky comping to you xby Pippin - General Competition Chat
Re: Two Tribes - 7 years ago
Thanks for watching Kris - so near and yet so far. If it gets a second series I'd really recommend it to anyone who fancies trying a TV quiz show but hasn't been quite confident enough to go for it in the past. You've obviously got no opposition and you can have a team of up to 3 so all questions and answers can be discussed togetherby Pippin - Off Topic Forum

Thanks Deborah. It was number 13. This year it's 20 years since my first - 'Backdate' with Valerie Singleton.by Pippin - Off Topic Forum
Re: DOES ANYBODY ACTUALLY WIN? - 7 years ago
Thanks. I'm thinking of trying to see if I can find any of the slogan competitions I used to have some success with - but I'm going back 25 years. I used to subscribe to a magazine that told you which items in the supermarket had these competitions on. With the dawn of the Internet, maybe they don't exist anymore.by Pippin - General Competition Chat

Are you entering competitions other than on this site, Den?by Pippin - General Competition Chat
Re: Two Tribes - 7 years ago
I'm on TV again! This time it's with my son and we're on 'The Code' at 2.15pm this Thursday afternoon (19th May) on BBC1. It was filmed at Elstree Studios back in February and Matt Allwright was lovely.by Pippin - Off Topic Forum
Open The Box Competition - 7 years ago
That's two consecutive Open The Box Competitions where there has literally been no prize. What is the point?by Pippin - UK Forum
Re: DOES ANYBODY ACTUALLY WIN? - 7 years ago
I've been on here for 4 years. In my first two years I won absolutely loads of stuff - £1000 cash, two holidays, VIP trip to see Concorde plus lots and lots of other things too. However, I haven't won anything for two years either. I'm beginning to wonder if so many people are entering these online competitions now the odds of winning have become incredibly small.by Pippin - General Competition Chat
Re: Competition listings - 7 years ago
I'm with miketerry on this one. Hopefully the competitions 3grandchildren is referring to are listed 'as well as' and not 'instead of' other competitionsby Pippin - General Competition Chat

I think I can work out 2 of the names you're thinking of. Although there are several living people with one of the names in question, the most famous died in 2011, so I've disregarded this name and gone for the other one.by Pippin - UK Forum
Re: Daily Quiz 27th February 2016 - 8 years ago
They must have been reading our posts - the questions have been re-posted this evening. You are quite right - number 28 was asking for the actor with the most wins out of that particular listby Pippin - General Competition Chat
Re: Daily Quiz 27th February 2016 - 8 years ago
A-ha. That would make sense. We'll be able to see on Tuesday when they re-publish the questions.by Pippin - General Competition Chat
Re: Daily Quiz 27th February 2016 - 8 years ago
I'm assuming 'actor' means male or female because there are females in the list of answers. Katharine Hepburn seems to have won the most and she's not in the list. I'll just tick Jack Nicholson, I think. Please enlighten me if you think I'm looking to deeply into itby Pippin - General Competition Chat

Am I the only one struggling with today's question? The correct answer doesn't seem to be in the listby Pippin - General Competition Chat
Re: Open The Box - 8 years ago
ditto to Deborah's comment. I've had three wins and on one occasion they sent me a voucher for £10 instead of £5 so I say 'why not have a go'. I must admit, I play tactically - you need a lot of coins and not many boxes to openby Pippin - General Competition Chat

Re: New memeber - 8 years ago
Hi Cornwolf. Sorry to hear you feel that way. Entering competitions can be a hard slog. It's true - you do have to register to enter many of the competitions but you only register for each site once and once you've registered, you will find new competitions from the same companies coming up month after month, so that's not so bad. I use Google Chrome which remembers a lot of yoby Pippin - General Competition Chat
Re: Top prize winners - 8 years ago
Good luck Cornwolf. I've had my tenner back many times over. The only thing this site costs me is my time. Apart from all the third party competitions, if you answer the Daily Quiz questions correctly every day in the 'Ours' section, like many of us do, you're likely to win £25 within the first year from that alone, which will more than cover your subs.by Pippin - General Competition Chat
Re: My lucky morning - 8 years ago
Well good for you, comping4ever! I don't actually do the lottery either. It was supposed to be a joke - a phrase often used when someone is having a run of good luck. Lighten up, lad.by Pippin - General Competition Chat

Re: Daily Quiz Questions - 8 years ago
Having a lovely Christmas and hope the rest of you are too. On Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and today I've managed to find 5 minutes of my hectic Christmas schedule to get up to date on this site and lo and behold, have found myself joint leader in the Where In The World competition. Just goes to prove that you don't have to be 'glued' to this site to be up there afterall.by Pippin - General Competition Chat
Re: ITV comps - 8 years ago
I believe some of them (possibly all of them) only accept text and postal entries these days - not free online entriesby Pippin - General Competition Chat

Got the name of the film that's not being shown on Christmas day but, technically, I think there might be a second one as wellby Pippin - General Competition Chat
