PREMIUM RATE COMPETITION ENTRY OR FREE INTERNET ENTRY? - 12 years ago
I often wonder if competition sponsors ever actually choose a winning entry from those received over the Internet if there is also an option for competitors to enter by using a premium rate telephone number. I suspect that they choose a winner from someone who has spent money entering. I'm thinking particulary of the itv competitions where you can enter up to 6 times to win a huge amount ofby Christabel49 - UK Forum
Re: Entering on the office computer - 12 years ago
Of course I cannot now remember where but I am sure I read in a competition's terms and conditions that any entries with the same IP address would be automatically eliminated, without them even looking at the address. I wouldn't have mentioned it otherwise. Let's try and read all the t&cs we can so see if we can find it.by Christabel49 - UK Forum

Differing closing dates - 13 years ago
Has anyone noticed that the closing dates given in CC is often earlier than that given when you follow the link to the actual competition website? This is particulary so with the ITV comps but I've noticed it with others. Odd.....by Christabel49 - UK Forum

Barclays Premier League match tickets - 13 years ago
I feel I have been conned by this competition. I got a code from the back of the Barclays receipt and entered it on-line and was then told I was a winner. In due course I received a letter saying that I would only be able to claim my prize if I had an iphone, I do not. So I took it to my son and he said all it was is an app that allows the user to know when my chosen team has scored a goal etcby Christabel49 - UK Forum
