Re: Ladder - 9 years ago
On the contrary Deborah, you won a garden voucher with your CC coins so points really are valueless.by rolysb - General Competition Chat
Re: Ladder - 9 years ago
I advised CC of the loophole and it has been rectified. However it has now resulted in the points system becoming faulty. I have recently sent Private Messages to CC mentioning a number of issues but it seems that replies are not the norm. As I have said before - points have no meaning anyway.by rolysb - General Competition Chat

Hey Pippin - guess what! There's another Ladder Points Loophole . . . . . .by rolysb - General Competition Chat

To ukinet It does appear that the Private Message facility is often overlooked. Can I request that you check yours when convenient? Cheers.by rolysb - General Competition Chat

Competitors Crossword Week 3 and 4 - 9 years ago
Main text in the CC weekly Crossword reads: Please do not submit more than one entry for each crossword as only your first answer will be counted and you will not increase your chances of winning by entering more than once. After you have entered the message reads: Thank you, please come back tomorrow for another entry.by rolysb - General Competition Chat
Re: Ladder - 9 years ago
Hi Mike. I note you are pleased with your 30th position on the ladder. If you aspire to get higher on the ladder don't ignore any competition. Did you know that you don't have to 'enter' Twitter comps to earn ladder points? Simply open the link and then close it again gets you four points!by rolysb - General Competition Chat

What a great word in today's Keyword competition - GUFF. Were you one of the lucky one's with one of those three letters in your first name or surname?by rolysb - General Competition Chat

Hi Deborah Did you miss this from ukinet on Wednesday? Just added another way to earn pointsby rolysb - General Competition Chat
Re: Ladder - 9 years ago
Den. I have been trying to be helpful; so has Pippin. You had obviously not seen the post by ukinet about 'New ways to earn ladder points and CC coins'. Also it tells you very plainly below the Ladder how to gain extra points. Earlier in this thread I mentioned that points have no value. Says it all really. PS: Den you need to keep up with the Forumby rolysb - General Competition Chat

Den you need to keep up with the Forum also read the text below the Ladder Happy compingby rolysb - General Competition Chat
Re: New ways to earn ladder points and CC coins. - 9 years ago
Hi ukinet. Thanks for that. However, as others have mentioned elsewhere, Facebook is not necessarily something that everyone uses. You did say that you had to make it fair. Also to gain points when friends click on it, is very much those competitions which depend on Facebook 'likes or votes' to determine a winner. The more friends one has the more clicks (and points they get). Notby rolysb - General Competition Chat
Re: Ladder - 9 years ago
Hi ukinet. I must correct you. ''The treasure hunt doesn't give points, only entering comps does.'' No - clicking on links to competitions gives points, without the need to enter them.by rolysb - General Competition Chat
Re: Ladder - 9 years ago
Hi Deborah. This Ladder is a strange phenomenon. The points gained have no value. The points do not lead to bonuses. The gaining of points is unavoidable; clicking on a comp link automatically awards four points. In fact the points are the nonentity of Competitors Companion. As recorded elsewhere, there are a number of ways to gain points (if that is what one wants to do) - but whether all of thoby rolysb - General Competition Chat
Re: Hiccups on 1 June - 9 years ago
My main browser is Firefox. But it is still showing the old rebus picture. But will use Outlook for that competition in future.by rolysb - General Competition Chat
Re: Ladder Hiccups on 1st June - 9 years ago
TeddyG. The Ladder was reset to zero today (1st of the Month). Only competitions listed after the reset will gain you points.by rolysb - General Competition Chat
Re: Hiccups on 1 June - 9 years ago
Hi. Managed to access the correct June picture by changing browsers. My Firefox is still showing the old Rebus from May.by rolysb - General Competition Chat
Re: Hiccups on 1 June - 9 years ago
Thanks for that Deborah. Mine is still as per the tinypic link I posted to ukinet, ie Emma and Daleby rolysb - General Competition Chat
Re: Hiccups on 1 June - 9 years ago
Hi. Unfortunately refreshes and logging out and back in again doesn't cure it. Here is a screen shot showing the closing date of 30 June above the rebus pictures. It would help to know if anyone else is having the same problem.by rolysb - General Competition Chat
Re: Hiccups on 1 June - 9 years ago
Hi Uniket. For me the June Rebus is still showing the Emma Thompson/Dale Winton picture from the first week in May. Can I ask you to check your Private Messages when you have chance?by rolysb - General Competition Chat
Hiccups on 1 June - 9 years ago
Hopefully there is someone on duty to 'sort' this. The June Rebus still has the old May picture in place; making it not possible to find the answer.by rolysb - General Competition Chat
Re: Coming Soon - 9 years ago
Thank you for that. Look forward to it.by rolysb - General Competition Chat
Coming Soon - 9 years ago
Hi ukinet. Thanks for your note re 'Competitions you've logged - coming soon'. Hope we are able to differentiate between those entered and those not entered. At the moment the line-through indicates that we have entered or are not interested. Also, an 'identifier' will remove the necessity of trawling through the same comps more than once to check whether we have enteredby rolysb - General Competition Chat

Hi Pippin Good game, good game. What do points mean. Points mean prizes. Have you solved the clues in the Treasure Hunt yet?by rolysb - General Competition Chat
Re: Ladder - 9 years ago
Hi Pippin, how you doin'? Who says ''they are supposedly unobtainable at the moment?'' How do I earn points? Well, there are a few ways, and more to come but generally by using Competitors Companion and clicking on things. We're not going to tell you all the ways to earn points but an example is by entering competitions we list.by rolysb - General Competition Chat
