Re: Competitors Companion Word Search - April week 1 - 9 years ago
Just double checked. There are definitely 6 religions reading vertically upwards in my puzzle. Is there anyone else who has got the same puzzle as me? Competitor's Companion - I've listed the 6 answers in the answer box. Just what is going on with this site?by Pippin - General Competition Chat
Competitors Companion Word Search - April week 1 - 9 years ago
Shouldn't the question read:- 'Which religions are found in the word search by reading the letters vertically upwards?' as opposed to 'Which religion is found in the word search by reading the letters vertically upwards?'. I found 6.by Pippin - General Competition Chat
Re: Is there anybody here? - 9 years ago
Bounty got a result by complaining in this thread (see above) so fingers crossed - I might even get the 2 x £25 that I'm owed. I think CC might as well delete the 'Contact' tab altogether as no one at CC ever responds. Last month's answers were posted on April 1st (under 'Announcements') but the winner's name was only posted this morning or yesterday.by Pippin - General Competition Chat
Daily Quiz - 9 years ago
I love general knowledge quizzes. I'd love to be able to check off my Daily Quiz answers when they are published at the beginning of the following month, to see how well I've done (I realise that not everyone can win every month, even if they've got all their answers right). I know you give a list of answers, but without the questions, they don't mean anything.by Pippin - Suggestions
Re: Is there anybody here? - 9 years ago
Since being a member of Competitors Companion, I have won the Daily Quiz Competition 4 times. However, I only received a cheque 2 out of the 4 times. My wins were as follows: May 2012 Cheque received very promptly. July 2012 Cheque never received. I contacted Competitors Companion through the 'Contact Us' page but never got a reply. December 2013 Cheque received very promptly. Fby Pippin - General Competition Chat

Yes - because I'm up-to-date with my competitions, I've only been able to accumulate 16 points and am lagging behind the leaders alreadyby Pippin - General Competition Chat

Re: DOES ANYBODY ACTUALLY WIN? - 10 years ago
I can promise you, Lizziejayne, I have won just over 20 prizes in 23 months - admittedly only about 5 or 6 were 'substantial' but all were welcome. I listed my best prizes in this thread in January. I think if I were to be 'making them up', I'd have come up with a list of different prizes. Do you enter every single competition on this site? I personally think that thaby Pippin - General Competition Chat

Re: Incorrect answers - 10 years ago
I found an error some months ago but put it down to the fact that CC are giving us so many answers that human error is bound crop up very occasionally. I read somewhere on this site that CC aren't liable for incorrect answers. I believe that if any of us spot an incorrect answer, it is our duty to report it and CC should correct it immediately and possibly even highlight it - that's aby Pippin - General Competition Chat
Re: Organised comping?! - 10 years ago
If you were to announce a future ladder reset date, compers would save up their competitions until that date - like you suggest. When the ladder was first published, the ones that hadn't kept up to date with their comping benefited for the same reason. The up-to-date compers lost out. The way that there could be a level playing field is for you to inform us of a future reset date then onlby Pippin - General Competition Chat
Re: Organised comping?! - 10 years ago
I'm happy with the way competitions are logged/kept track of. I enter all competitions without fail. I am always about 400/500 points behind the leader on the ladder. I feel we didn't all start at the same point. Would love for everyone to start the ladder again so it would be fair.by Pippin - General Competition Chat

Re: Organised comping?! - 10 years ago
I'm coming to the end of my 2nd year with CC. The rules I've given myself are: 1. Have an email address for 'competitions only'. You will inevitably start receiving masses of junk mail, which will have to be waded through regularly to check if you've won anything. I'd hate to have emails from friends etc mixed up with this lot. 2. Enter every single competitioby Pippin - General Competition Chat

Re: Anyone won online where" paid " text entries are also included? - 10 years ago
This is a question that crops up very regularly. There's no real way of knowing the answer unless you've actually won this way. However, the respected 'money saving expert', Martin Lewis claims that there's just as much chance winning online as winning by text:- Enter TV premium rate comps for free Never enter telly contests by calling a premium rate number. Re: ITV COMPS - 10 years ago
Hi Yvonnew - this is a question that crops up a lot. I enter all these competitions up to 6 times each via the Internet and I've often asked myself the same question. After all, it would cost a fortune to enter that many times on the phone. However, I've noticed this on Martin Lewis' website (about half way down the page) "Enter TV premium rate comps for free Neby Pippin - UK Forum
