Re: Daily Quiz - January - 5 years ago
When the monthly winner is announced for the Daily Quiz competition (the general knowledge quiz), the answers are listed but not the questions. Therefore people can't check how they went on. I do make a note of all questions and my answers on a daily basis and then check them off at the end of the month because quizzing is my hobby. We're just saying if the answers AND questions wereby Pippin - General Competition Chat

Re: Slogans - 5 years ago
Like you, I did slogan competitions too, 20 or 30 years ago. I prided myself if I got 1 postcard sent off per day. It was definitely a case of quality, not quantity. I remember thinking it as an achievement when I found the product in the supermarket with the correct entry form on it. The Competitor's Companion magazine was great for pointing you in the right direction. Thanks to the Inby Pippin - General Competition Chat

Re: Tie break competitions - 6 years ago
Yes - 20 years ago I only did tie break (slogan) competitions and won some lovely prizes. They are definitely 'quality not quantity' competitions because they take some thinking about. I only did about 1 a day. I just don't think there are many around now with the advent of the Internet and prize draw competitions which are basically there to get your email address onto their maby Pippin - Suggestions

Fair doos. But boy, that was difficult. Well done, Teddy G. Well deserved as there was some method in the way you got to the answer. Bit cross with myself for not thinking of your logical method. Bring on the next conundrum, CCby Pippin - General Competition Chat

Re: New to CC - 6 years ago
Hello and welcome. When you press the quick link icon it takes you to the site of the competition. You then have to fill in your details on that site's form and give the answer (that CC has provided). Sometimes there is no answer, it is just a simple draw. Once you have pressed the quick link icon, a line will appear through the competition and a tick will appear next to it. All thby Pippin - General Competition Chat
