    Who Are We ?

    Competitors Companion's chief editor is Neil Phillips, a Chartered Accountant working in Shropshire.
    Neil has won his fair share of prizes in numerous competitions over many years and has the tried and tested formula for success - PERSEVERANCE and LUCK!
    Neil's most prestigious win came in the Walkers Crisp 'Claim To Fame' competition when he won the first prize of gold sovereigns worth £5,000 out of over 250,000 entrants.
    In February 2002 Neil's 8 year-old daughter April enjoyed success in the Jelly Belly competition, winning a one week family holiday to San Francisco with Virgin Atlantic.

    Neil's most recent success was in October 2002 when he won 3 nights for 2 in Salzburg staying in a 5 star hotel, in the Classic FM Amadeus competition.
    Neil's other prize wins include:

    • A 2 week holiday for two in Hawaii
    • 1st dividend on Littlewoods Pools
    • A luxury break for two in Milan

    Outside his work and competition interests Neil is a keen road runner. He has completed the London Marathon three times, most recently in 2002. In 1983 Neil entered the Guinness Book of Records for the fastest ever walk across Ireland.
