Re: Games - 9 years ago
Hello. Very pleased that something is happening on the 'coins' front. When you say it's 'under test' does this mean that the prizes aren't for real yet? What I don't understand is, if the same boxes are showing to everyone, which I assume they are as a lot seem to be already 'opened', then a game isn't going to last very long if lots of us pby kevincharley - General Competition Chat

Thankee kind sir. That worked a treat. For 30 years I've worked with computers but never come across that little trick before. I can use 'em but I don't understand 'em.by kevincharley - UK Forum

Yes, me too. If the winner is based on today then Den or I stand a good chance of winning.by kevincharley - General Competition Chat
Re: Shortlist - 9 years ago
Den, thanks for the reply, even though I don't actually understand it! However, problem solved when I log in through Google Chrome. Obviously there's some issue with Outlook.by kevincharley - UK Forum

Re: Ladder - 9 years ago
Out of curiosity I have to ask how have I managed to accrue 209 points? I used to be able to keep track when I knew I was getting 4 points for clicking on a competition link. Obviously I've missed something as I'm sure 209 isn't divisible by 4.by kevincharley - General Competition Chat

Re: New ways to earn ladder points and CC coins. - 9 years ago
Like Rolysb I have read that if you use Facebook 'friends' can earn you points - 'any friends who click it will also earn you 10 points'. Now, I'm not a great lover of Facebook but I've accepted that life aint fair and that you've got to draw a line in the sand at some stage. Again I find myself quoting Abe Lincoln, "You can please some of the people sby kevincharley - General Competition Chat

Re: Ladder - 9 years ago
The 2nd of the month and the scramble to the top of the ladder has begun again. I've told myself I'm not joining in this time. So why am I checking it so regularly? It's only a matter of time before Roysb, Pufferfish and The Mole are challenged for the top spot I'm sure, but I really wish I could beat the addiction.by kevincharley - General Competition Chat

Re: DOES ANYBODY ACTUALLY WIN? - 9 years ago
After a very dry spell recently I've won several books, a rubber stamp, a couple of dvds, holiday vouchers, a weekend break, a substantial cash sum and a BAG OF MALTESERS!! Keep going, it's a game of chance, but it's brilliant when you get a run of luck. Oh, and the Rebus competition for May, mustn't forget that! I don't usually post on the winners list, but recently Iby kevincharley - General Competition Chat

Re: Help! - 9 years ago
Having looked at all the recent posts about the ladder I think you may be on a hiding to nothing with the points. Whichever way you decide to go, someone will always have a moan (yes, I'm guilty too). I think the decision of which way you proceed has to come from you, without any input from the members. Everyone will have a differing view and if you choose one member's idea over otheby kevincharley - General Competition Chat
Re: Same Winners Time After Time- Not renewing my membership - 9 years ago
Well, that's entirely your prerogative, of course. I don't keep a record of which competitions I enter so I don't know whether my wins are a result of being a member of C.C. or not. Also, I'm not one to post my wins so you wouldn't know about my recent good fortune. But, I know that I wouldn't be made aware of many of the competitions I win if it wasn't for Cby kevincharley - UK Forum

'Our Competitions' - 10 years ago
Could someone tell me whether there is any system behind the timing on the in house competitions? Last week I went online about 9pm to find that I'd missed a day of the Star Shaker & Keyword. I went online on Friday teatime and completed Friday's offerings and I'm online again, Saturday, 2:20am (having driven for 5 1/2 hours and trying to wind down) and Friday's Star Shaby kevincharley - General Competition Chat

Re: Ladder - 10 years ago
Pippin, have you noticed that the 'comps ending today' and 'comps ending soon' are updated throughout the day? If you check in the morning there may be nothing, but check later in the day and some more may have been added. You've probably already spotted this but thought I'd mention it just in case. It's the only thing I can think of that may be making the diby kevincharley - General Competition Chat

Re: Ladder - 10 years ago
Netpence, I too have received emails about festival tickets recently. One in Wales and one in Ibiza. There was something a little odd about the way they were worded that made me suspicious and I didn't reply - both required me to pay for either travel or accommodation which seems to be the big catch. Hope your festival tickets turn out to be a real win and not some way of obtaining money fby kevincharley - General Competition Chat
Re: Ladder - 10 years ago
C'mon Pippin, he's in front again. This ladder is serious business and you won't stay at the top if you're out having fun and drinking wine and stuff. Time to put a bit more effort in m'girl. Put your back into it!by kevincharley - General Competition Chat
