Re: Competition wins - 16 days ago
Ah the Competitor's Companion paper magazine. I used to subscribe to that too. I think it was in the 1990s. It was quite a challenge going round the supermarket looking for the products with the entry forms on that CC had told you about. The competitions were nearly always slogan competitions and I invested in rhyming books etc to help. I remember posting off my entries in a stamped envby Pippin - UK Forum
Re: Amazon gift card - 5 weeks ago
I'm trying to remember how I received mine. I think CC will ask you to confirm that your Amazon account has the same email address as your CC account. If not, you'll need to give them you Amazon email address. Then I think the £5 just gets credited to your Amazon account.by Pippin - UK Forum
Saturday's Where in the World - 6 weeks ago
Must have been too excited about the up and coming Eurovision Song Contest on Saturday. Got really led off course with Where in the World with my answer of Cincinnati which matched all the criteria, even the sunrise Today logo.by Pippin - UK Forum
Sunday's Where In The World Question - 2 months ago
I was first out of the hat with Sunday's Where In The World but I must admit, I just couldn't work out why the photo of a person walking on a beach at dawn or dusk has anything to do with 'Star'. Can anyone enlighten me? Lesley D.by Pippin - General Competition Chat

Where In The World Wednesday 12th March 2025 - 3 months ago
Where In The World Wednesday 12th March 2025. Please can someone remind me of Wednesday's answer please. I was totally stumped and know I got it wrong. Took me ages to work out the connection with the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest but eventually realised it was special guest, Nana Mouskouri, that was born on Creteby Pippin - General Competition Chat

Re: Where In The World Monday 23rd September 2024 - 9 months ago
Yes - Merian C. Cooper seems to have worked on several newspapers in between his military service but not as editor and none that Allister Haddon Sparks was editor for. Still - I now know who created King Kong, if that should ever come up in another quizby Pippin - UK Forum
Where In The World Monday 23rd September 2024 - 9 months ago
I've got the town but I just can't get the newspaper that the journalist (I know who that is) and the creator of King Kong (I know who that is too) both worked for. If you know, please let me know tomorrow, when this question is over. Ta. Pippinby Pippin - UK Forum

Monday's Question. Enter our August Where in the World contest and win £30! - 10 months ago
Monday's Question (26th August):- I looked forward to finding out the answer today as this question really foxed me. I had submitted Chicago in the end. The answer was revealed as St. Asaph which is an old answer from a few days ago. Please can CC reveal the correct answer to put me out of my misery. Thank you. Roade - Where In The World - Friday - 10 months ago
Just as a matter of interest, what was the name of the pub in Roade in Friday's Where In The World, please. This village, which has a connection with the picture, lies around 15 miles from a place associated with Alan Turing and other clever people. A cricketer who played for his county and country and who died aged 57 was raised in the village. A pub in the village has an animal name whichby Pippin - General Competition Chat
The Finish Line - 11 months ago
Hi folks. Just in case anyone out there watches TV quizzes, I'd just like to tell you that I'm on 'The Finish Line' on Monday afternoon. I filmed it at BBC Belfast back in January and it was due to be aired on 22nd May but at that same moment, Rishi Sunak announced the General Election so I got postponed. So it's now going to be on the telly on Monday 15th July on BBC1by Pippin - Off Topic Forum

I just randomly enter ticks as well. I enjoy working out the other puzzles though. I don't know if you remember me, Deborah. I've not been on this site since 2018 when I literally entered everything. I've decided to try my hand again. Am I right in thinking that it's the same Treasure Hunt in 'Our Competitions' that's been there for years and never actuallyby Pippin - General Competition Chat
