did anyone manage to fathom what this question was all about? i had the whole family looking at it, but we couldnt get it at all. If 13 is Alps and 6 is New , what is 12? Please someone explain what this meant

The answer was Dee - Hole 12 on Royal Liverpool Golf Club.
Hole 13 is Alps and hole 6 is New
