Re: Take A Break - 6 years ago
Somebody asked this a couple of years ago and this was the response: 'Hi I have received emails regarding Take a break & wanted to let everyone know that it will be resuming shortly. As stated ... TV competitions like ITV are very rarely accepting online entries which is why there are not as many competitions as there used to be. Please note I'm constantly checking sites like Iby kevincharley - General Competition Chat

Daily Quiz 28 August - 6 years ago
Another question with two possible answers. Should the question read 'was destroyed as a direct result of the earthquake' or 'was destroyed by the earthquake and subsequent attempts to prevent further damage'? Two possible answers from an ambiguously worded question.by kevincharley - General Competition Chat
Re: Annoying captcha - 6 years ago
I think we're stuck with them. I've never had more than 3 for any one competition though. Are you seeing more?by kevincharley - General Competition Chat

Once again I'm horrified to see the depths some people will sink to. My heart goes out to the families involved in this callous act. I'm one of the lucky ones not involved and can only stand on the sidelines and witness the horror in a city I know well, love, and have been, in the past, proud to have called 'home'. Huge thanks go to the emergency services, the MEN staby kevincharley - Off Topic Forum
Re: Daily Quiz - 11th May - 6 years ago
That's the answer I used - there's quite often an element of doubt with some of these questions. Today is another example, there are 2 possible answers to this question.by kevincharley - General Competition Chat

Re: Incorrect answers - 7 years ago
Once again we seem to be going through a bad patch vis-à-vis incorrect answers, incorrect links and incorrect closing dates. Win a wedding dress - closing date 26 April. Wearing a white wedding dress was a trend started by what famous bride? Re: Winner notification - 7 years ago
Glad to say I received confirmation from Belvita today that this was indeed a genuine advice. And thanks to MikeTerry who contacted me via PM, when the forum was out of action, advising me that there was n Asda/Belvita promotion announcing the winners at the time I received the text. All's well that ends well. My husband is delighted. I'll still be drinking Vimto!by kevincharley - General Competition Chat
Winner notification - 7 years ago
Hi everybody. Have any of you ever received a text message advising you of a win and asking that you email your mobile number, name and address to an email address supplied? (Strange as they obviously have my mobile number - they sent me a text!) I've just had notification that I've won a Tassimo coffee machine via this method and, being a little cynical, I'm treating it ratby kevincharley - General Competition Chat
Re: Take A break Competitions - 7 years ago
Or, if you put takeabreak into your search bar you'll go straight to the home page and can access the competitions from there. Yes, it's a nuisance, but it's still accessible.by kevincharley - UK Forum
Re: My wins in 2016 - 7 years ago
393????? That's a LOT of prizes! Maybe they broke each prize down into it's elements - I won a goody bag with a mug, an umbrella and a t-shirt, and the bag itself, maybe I should have counted that as 4 wins! However he/she did it, good luck to them, (but there's a little part of me that wishes they'd retire from entering and let someone else have a chance!!).by kevincharley - General Competition Chat

Welcome to the site and good luck!by kevincharley - General Competition Chat
Re: My wins in 2016 - 7 years ago
The 30 wins included things that weren't actually competitions - there was a raffle and a Grand National sweepstake in there too. Hey, a win is a win! Yes, I'm signed up to SImply Prizes and Coffee Break Winner too. No way of knowing which subscription has been the most successful as sometimes the competitions are duplicated and I don't keep a record of what I've entered.by kevincharley - General Competition Chat
Re: My wins in 2016 - 7 years ago
I love the idea of the Back-In-The-Day Comping Club!. Do you remember 'Grapevine'? It sent you competition entry forms for those 'hard to find' competitions. I had 30 wins last year - which is far more than I realised - from a Samsung TV and surround sound system (they arrived 6 months apart with no explanation of where from) to a Gatorade drinks bottle!by kevincharley - General Competition Chat
Re: My wins in 2016 - 7 years ago
Congratulations Mags! It's a great feeling when the prizes roll in. Like Pippin I seem to have peaked few years ago and 2016 was pretty lean. But I live in hope that I'll have another good run soon. Pippin, do you think it's the internet that's made the big difference? So many people who have been doing this for a while are reporting very few wins and I can't heby kevincharley - General Competition Chat

Re: Membership renewal - 7 years ago
John, I think we may have been a little too early with our praise. 3 mistakes in 2 days, looks like they've burned out!by kevincharley - General Competition Chat
Re: Membership renewal - 7 years ago
John, I'm of the same mind and did exactly the same as you recently. I find I'm still very mistrusting when it comes to incorrect answers and generally check those provided. So why pay for membership? Solely for the facility to record my entries. But yes, there does seem to be an upswing, so thanks C.C., long may it continue!by kevincharley - General Competition Chat
Re: October Daily Quiz - 7 years ago
I think you're safe Lesley. All of us have probably answered the question correctly so we'll have all scored a maximum of 30 out of 31, it'll be C.C. that can't answer their own questions. They never fail to astonish and disappoint me. Congratulations!by kevincharley - General Competition Chat
