Re: Winners - 7 years ago
Nice one, Den, enjoy spending it! What plans do you have? I've only had one win worthy of note this year, a Samsung tv, and I have absolutely no idea where it came from. We kept it in it's box for a week or so, expecting someone to call and tell us it had been mis-routed but 3 months later it seems it must have been for me after all. I too was hoping for a flurry of prizes, as sby kevincharley - General Competition Chat
Re: "... worth of prizes to be won" - 7 years ago
There are generally fewer competitions in summer - on this site, at least.by kevincharley - General Competition Chat
Re: Winners - 7 years ago
Why not post wins on the forum? Set the ball rolling and I'm sure others will join in.by kevincharley - General Competition Chat
Re: Problem mail - 7 years ago
I'm obviously not as organised, I can't be bothered with 2 email addresses. I'm still going to get the spam whether I have one address or several, it's just an unfortunate downside to this little hobby.by kevincharley - General Competition Chat

Personally I stay clear of Woobox competitions. Early on I made the mistake of entering their competitions and was bombarded by junk email.by kevincharley - General Competition Chat
Re: Tiebreak/slogan comps - 7 years ago
Hi Kazza. Yes tiebreak competitions do seem to be hard to find these days. I don't recall many - if any - on this site recently. The 'skill' competitions seem to be photographic/video entries or perhaps writing a review. Good luck finding the tiebreakers.by kevincharley - UK Forum

I didn't renew my membership and I'm still here... Still seeing what paid up members see, still seeing the wrong answers and the broken links. I've not made a secret out of it, and I know I'm not the only one. It's habit that keeps me here. So, leaving doesn't seem to be an option.by kevincharley - General Competition Chat
Re: Winners - 7 years ago
I sent in a couple last month. I don't thinks it's a lack of material that's stopping the winners section being updated.by kevincharley - General Competition Chat

Re: DOES ANYBODY ACTUALLY WIN? - 7 years ago
As Den posted earlier, l've also noticed that wins come in batches. The trouble is that the whole world and his wife are chancing their luck on these competitions. It used to be so much more lucrative in the days when you had to rely on good old Royal Mail to enter. The flip side to this is that there are so many more competitions available to enter. If you have the time and patience theby kevincharley - General Competition Chat

Riddle Race - 8 years ago
Recently I've managed to guess quite a few of the answers correctly but other players have beaten me to it which has to be the most annoying thing about this game. Or so I thought, until this morning. Yesterday's conversation went something like this: 'Dearest husband (or words to that effect), think of a cartoon character, 6 letters' 'Tweety' was his prby kevincharley - General Competition Chat
Re: "worth of prizes to be won" - 8 years ago
I hadn't noticed and, to be fair to C.C. if companies are giving prizes of smaller value then what can they do? Prize value increases in the run up to Christmas as there are simply more competitions out there so it could just be the seasonal fluctuation you are noticing.by kevincharley - General Competition Chat
Re: Entry Method - 8 years ago
Good luck John. I think I still use CC more out of habit than anything else! So it appears to be just me who's having problems recording competitions entered. I know my laptop has been a little erratic recently but hadn't realised it was to such a great extent. Maybe that's why my holiday to the Bahamas, my Jaguar car and my jar of Marmite have been won by someone else.by kevincharley - General Competition Chat

Entry Method - 8 years ago
Hi everyone. Is anyone else noticing problems with the 'Quick Links'? Recently I've been using the 'old entry method' to enter a competition then in order for the competition post to be marked as 'entered' I've used the 'Quick link & log'. Over the last few days I've noticed that the 'Quick link and log' scores through the cby kevincharley - General Competition Chat

Re: Daily Quiz 27th February 2016 - 8 years ago
I can't remember the exact wording of the question but I believe they wanted the one who from the list had won most Oscars not the actor/actress who had won the most Oscars ever.by kevincharley - General Competition Chat
