Re: Ladder - 9 years ago
Pippin, does it feel good to finally be above Rolysb on the ladder? And after you'd decided to 'let it go' too. Guess you didn't let it go too far, eh?by kevincharley - General Competition Chat

Re: Treasure Hunt #1 - 9 years ago
Hi ukinet Any comments on my last post? One of your comments mentioned finding a 'token'. Could you please explain what you mean by this? A supermarket trolley token perhaps? A token of love? And, how do we submit our answer? Thanks in advance.by kevincharley - General Competition Chat

And thank you too for all the replies to queries posted over the last few weeks. I think we've all been wondering what was happening with the site. Good to know you're back and sorting everything out once more. I bet you wish you'd stayed away longer: we've certainly given you enough to keep you going for a while.by kevincharley - Suggestions
Re: Auto enter competitions when available? - 10 years ago
So, really, it's not that great an option? Has the 'auto entry' been used - ever? And, if I checked the box to say I wanted the facility to be used, how would I know that a competition I wanted to enter had the auto enter route available?by kevincharley - UK Forum
Auto enter competitions when available? - 10 years ago
Could anyone tell me what happens if this option 'Auto enter competitions when available' is checked? Found in 'Your Profile'. I've seen it before and ignored it as there is no explanation.by kevincharley - UK Forum

Re: Easter Eggs - 10 years ago
A few days ago I found an egg. 'Woo hoo' I cried ( or something similar) and hastily clicked on it to be told 'this egg has already been found'. Instant deflation. Someone else had found MY egg. I was heartbroken. Today there was a knock on the door and I hastened to answer it, struggling with my dressing gown and eyelids that refused to open. Re: Is there anybody here? - 10 years ago
I too have been lucky enough to win the quiz several times. The cheque has normally turned up without problem, but once I contacted CC via the contact link several times and eventually had to phone to prompt the release of the prize. On the subject of the quiz, last month's answers and winner haven't been posted yet. In the last week I have contacted them twice asking the question thby kevincharley - General Competition Chat

I've contacted CC directly asking the same question that's bothering us all. As yet I haven't received a reply.by kevincharley - General Competition Chat
Re: Just a suggestion - 10 years ago
I too would welcome this suggestion becoming reality. I've been in the situation where the postman arrives with a parcel which doesn't contain so much as a compliments slip leaving me wondering where it's come from and what I did to win it.by kevincharley - Suggestions

Re: slogan comps where are they - 10 years ago
I've never been great with slogans and haven't entered many so was delighted to win a small prize in a limerick competition yesterday. It's a great feeling to know that you've won something by using the old grey matter rather than ticking a box and it's spurred me on to find and enter more.by kevincharley - General Competition Chat

Re: Organised comping?! - 10 years ago
I think what it boils down to is “You can please some of the people some of the time all of the people some of the time some of the people all of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time.” I'm afraid the Ladder is always going to be a bone of contention to some people. UKINET, do you ever wonder why you bother? If I was in your position I'd be muttering darkby kevincharley - General Competition Chat
Re: Organised comping?! - 10 years ago
Sadly, I don't think that would be the answer. If all the points were wiped today then those at the top of the ladder who have entered everything in sight (me included!) wouldn't be able to build up the score again and would be forever playing catch-up. Also, anyone who subscribes at a future date is obviously not going to be able to keep up. It could just be that CC has something upby kevincharley - General Competition Chat
Incorrect answers - 10 years ago
Recently I've seen a few competitions where the suggested answer is incorrect. The most recent I've noticed is an Out & About Competition to win a caravan manoeuvring system (other competitions, closing date 8 April) This could be a genuine mistake or (and I really hope I'm wrong here) a deliberate attempt to mislead fellow entrants. I don't know if the competitions lisby kevincharley - General Competition Chat
Easter Eggs - 10 years ago
I'm just here to have a good old fashioned grumble. I can't find the bleeping Easter eggs and I've looked EVERYWHERE apart from (obviously) the pages where they are. The more I tell myself to just let it go the more determined I get to find the pesky things. Life is too short! Why am I obsessing on this? Forget the ladder. Forget the holiday comps. Forget sleeping. I just neby kevincharley - General Competition Chat
Re: age - 10 years ago
A lot of entry forms seem to be a standard format. I believe the companies offering the prizes use promotion companies who will use standardised forms rather than going to the trouble and cost of customising the layout for each client.by kevincharley - UK Forum

Hi. Just letting you know I sent another message via the contact link as a test. Haven't received reply/notification. Not complaining, just letting you know so you can look at it. I'll send another now (1 Feb 2:20pm) for you to check.by kevincharley - General Competition Chat

Re: ways to earn points other than by entering competitions. I've tried all I can think of aside from competition entries: blog posts, informing you of wins, I think I've tried everything there is to try but the only time my balance seems to increase is by entering competitions.
