Re: Daily Quiz Questions - 8 years ago
Yes I have mentioned it before, but it has made little difference. The practice still exists. You say it is a 'request' to not answer the daily quiz questions. Did you overlook that I also said it is one of the requests of the compiler? And yes again - it WAS ok to log the foreign comps but at the same time inform CC about the 'loophole'. Don't know why I bothered;by rolysb - General Competition Chat
Daily Quiz Questions - 8 years ago
Please do not submit more than one entry for each question as only your first answer will be counted. That is one of the requests by the compiler - but it seems that some people (and you know who you are) still cannot resist the opportunity to enter every daily quiz question once more or even twice on the final days of the competition. Rather silly behaviour for competitive minded people. Sby rolysb - General Competition Chat
Re: tv competitions - 8 years ago
Happy 5 - it's because the TV companies no longer give the option to enter online. You can only enter those competitions by telephone, text or writing to a Derby address.by rolysb - General Competition Chat

Hi Deborah. The first picture was a cricketer, what was the second? Yes, the first picture was a cricketer presumably about to 'chuck' the ball and the second picture was a beret. Get it?by rolysb - UK Forum
Re: Take a Break - 8 years ago
Den - there is a TV competition at the moment which closes on 16 July. Most TV competitions no longer give an online option to enter. Entrants have to either telephone, text or write to a Derby address.by rolysb - UK Forum

Re: Ladder - 8 years ago
Thought I would resurrect the longest thread on CC Forums. There has been no comment on here for four months. Anyone got anything to add? I did notice again today (end of month) that the opportunity to pick some 'forbidden fruits' to boost Ladder Points was too much of a temptation for some. It must be annoying, disappointing, sickening and upsetting to get so far but then only gaby rolysb - General Competition Chat
Re: Quiz 24 May - 8 years ago
Hi Deborah. I spotted the same reference to detective, however I decided to just go ahead and presume I could choose the name required. It does seem futile in attempting to get any responses from CC despite us pointing out errors with is followed by a brief response that things are being sorted. Seems like we go forward lurching from week to week but are never really sure that our membership is aby rolysb - UK Forum
Re: Games - 9 years ago
Oh dear. Looks like there are no pennies in the Competitors Companion coffers. Just a measly couple of coins' awards (not the average five) this time and not even enough to award a £5 garden centre voucher. Although the text says it is possible that every box could be a voucher - what a letdown.by rolysb - General Competition Chat

Re: Is it THAT important? - 9 years ago
Thank you for your long tirade Pipdawg (sorry, Pippin). I am pleased I brought a smile your way, although you can be sure I am not worked up nor have ruffled feathers. The defence of your 'heinous sin' was unnecessary as I made no inference towards you (or Deborah) in my Opening comment. In fact I agree with most of your views and yes one's ladder position is really immaterial - atby rolysb - General Competition Chat
Re: Is it THAT important? - 9 years ago
Checking to see if you have missed any is quite natural but some cannot resist the temptation to . . . well you know what I mean and they know who they are. My feathers are not ruffled - in fact I am cool, calm and decidedly collected. By the way, well done on your Riddle Race correct answers. Is it THAT important? - 9 years ago
I find it strange that the Points Ladder has an attraction like a moth to a flame. OK it can be a little fun; or maybe not. But it is predictable that practically every month-end someone has to re-enter all the Daily Quiz Questions despite having entered daily. Clearly that is just so they can top the Ladder. This is despite the website rule which states Please do not submit more than one entrby rolysb - General Competition Chat

Checking PMs - 9 years ago
Hi folks. It's always a good idea to occasionally check to see if you have any Private Messages on Competitors Companion. I found one this week and thanked the sender by replying, although a couple of days later. You never know, you could hear of a CC win via a Private Message! Ermmmm, well maybe not. Hi Deborah. I was spending ages searching and researching on the Riddle Race. Now I am spending more time in the garden. Indeed very liberating. But I check back daily to look for the promised comments from the Managing Director.by rolysb - UK Forum
Re: Riddle Race - 9 years ago
I thought this was hilarious. Question: To solve our current Riddle at the top of this page you need to name the actress who has recently been seen on TV. Wow! Should be quite easy. Good luck with that one.by rolysb - UK Forum
